Named in honour of the Salzburg-born composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791). Originally also known as "Mozarthaus". The complex contains two concert halls, the "Bibliotheca Mozartiana" library, administrative rooms, and class rooms used by the "Universität Mozarteum". "Großer Saal" [Large Hall] with 807 seats. Used as a concert venue by the "Internationale Stiftung Mozarteum" and the "Salzburger Festspiele" summer festival. "Wiener Saal" [Vienna Hall] with 200 seats. Used for chamber concerts.
