Built 1881-1883 "Stadttheater" for the city of Reichenberg by Ferdinand Fellner & Hermann Helmer . Curtain designed by Gustav Klimt and Franz Matsch. Opened 30 September with Schiller's "Wilhelm Tell". Later renamed "Severóceské divadlo". Later renamed "Divadlo Frantiska Xavera Saldy" in honour of the Czech playwright and critic, Frantisek Xaver Salda (1867-1937). 1970 major renovation. 824 seats (+ 132 standing).
