Built 2001-2004 by Henning Larsen. Funded by a donation of the Arnold Peter Møller and Chastine McKinney Møller foundation. Opened 15 Jan 2005 with a concert, first opera performance: Verdi's "Aida" on 26 Jan 2005. One of the homes of the "Kongelike Teater" opera and ballet companies.

The complex comprises two halls:

  • ''Store scene'', ca. 1.500 seats
  • ''Takkelloftet'', ca. 200 seats

Also known as "Operahuset", "Det Kongelige Teaters operahus" or "Operaen på Holmen".
