Built 1906-1908 by Guillaume Tronchet, replacing the previous municipal theatre, Théâtre Municipal Moncorny. Funded by a donation of Alphonse Pierre Ducourneau. As one of the first public buildings in France, the theatre was built in reinforced concrete. Originally ca. 1000 seats, currently 632 seats.
