Built 1776-1788 by Mathurin Crucy. Opened 1788. Destroyed by a fire in 1796, leaving only the exterior walls. Subsequently rebuilt by Mathurin Crucy. Re-opened 3 May 1813 with Pierre-Alexandre Monsigny's "Aline, Reine de Golconde". 1968 renovations. 900 seats.
