Cinema and live theatre stage Built 1951 by Gerhard Thoma part of the "Badischer Hof" complex to replace a previous "Volkstheater" building destroyed by an explosion in September 1945. Opened 9 Feb 1951 with a movie showing. Originally 522 seats, later 458 seats. Despite the designation as cultural heritage monument the whole complex is scheduled for demolition in 2012 in favour of a road tunnel.
