Bieberhaus, an urban block next to the central train station, built 1909 by Johann Gottlieb Rambatz und Wilhelm Jollasse. Throughout its history, parts of the building have been used by various cinemas and theatres:

  • 1910-1922: City-Theater, 1914 renamed Bahnhof-Theater (in the Kirchenallee wing). Closed 1922. Later converted into a café.
  • 1979-2006: Kino im Bieberhaus with cinema halls "Berolina", "Vienna" and, since 1980 "Parisienne". 1995 renamed "Neues Broadway". Closed 2006.
  • 2011-: Ohnsorgtheater, Hamburg's leading Low German comedy theatre
