Used as a military training hall and granary in the 19th century. From 1870 used as concert and multi-purpose hall named "Konzert- und Gesellschaftshaus Stadthalle". Closed 1943. 1945 used as a branch of the Neuengamme concentration camp. Severely damaged by bombs on 13 Feb 1945. Ruins secured. 1979 rebuilding as as a retirement home. Link: Wikipedia |
