Opened April 1857 with Achille Peri's opera "Victor Pisani". Main curtain by Alfonso Chierici, intermission curtain by Giovanni Fontanesi. The theatre still contains a complete set of 19th century old stage machinery. Renamed 1980 in honour of the actor, Romolo Valli. Used for opera and drama performances, ballet performances (especially by the "Aterballetto" company), and concerts. 1100 seats. |
