Built 1888 by cutting out ten tiers of seats from a disused chalk pit and adding a temple-shaped stage set. Opened June 1890 with Sophocles' "Antigone", performed in the original Greek. 1897 extension of the auditorium. Used for drama performances by the Bradfield College Greek Drama Group.
