Built 1805 by William Porden as Royal stables and corn exchange. Domed hall converted into a concert hall in 1860. 1870 installation of a pipe organ by Henry Willis & Sons. 1935 rebuilding and new organ by Hill, Norman and Beard. 1974 venue of the Eurovision Song Contest (with ABBA's "Waterloo" winning). The complex includes three halls: "Concert Hall" (originally 2500 seats, now 1700 seats), "Corn Exchange" and "Pavilion Theatre".
