Built 1901 as "Victoria Hall" (concert hall) by Clement Williams. Opened 8 Feb 1901. Named in honour of Queen Victoria (1819-1901). Bought by the city of Halifax ca. 1964, subsequently renamed "Civic Theatre". 1964 extension by a fly tower. Later renamed "Victoria Theatre". 1585 seats.
