Built 1861 by Edward Clark as "Bedford Music Hall" . Later renamed "New Bedford Palace of Varieties". 1896-1898 rebuilding by Bertie Crewe. Re-opened as "New Bedford Theatre". 1168 seats. 1933-1939 used as a cinema. Closed 1959. Demolished in 1969.
