Opened Dec 1906 as "Palace Theatre of Varieties" by Oswald Cane Wylson and Charles Long. 1933 converted into a cinema, re-opened Sep 1933 as "New Regal Palace Cinema". Closed Dec 1935. Subsequently reopened as "Regal Palace Theatre", a live variety theatre. Closed June 1956. Demolished 1958 in favour of retail space.
