Built 1845 by John Gould Irwin & Francis Chester. Opened as "Theatre Royal". 1871 alterations by Edward Salomon. Converted into a cinema in 1921, renamed "Royal Cinema". Closed 1972. Later used as a a cinema, bingo hall and nightclub. Not used since 2009.
