Opened 3 Jan 1914 as "Palladium". Severely damaged by fire on 20 Oct 1925. Repaired and re-opened 3 Ape 1926. Auditorium destroyed by fire on 26 March 1929. 1930 new auditorium built by W. E. Trent, retaining the facade. Re-opened as "New Palladium Cinema", later renamed "Gaumont", then "Odeon". Closed 1979.
