Theatre and cinema, built 1926 by Thomas W. Lamb (replacing a former "Proctor's Theatre" and incorporating the "Art Theatre", built 1911, as entrance wing). Opened 27 Dec 1926. Closed in the 1970s. 1977-1979 renovations. Re-opened 1979 as a cinema and performing arts centre. The complex contains the main historic hall (2738 seats), "GE Black Box Theatre" (450 seats) and "440 Upstairs" (100 seats).
