Built 1892 by George McRae as the New Belmore Markets. 1916 converted into a hippodrome for the Wirth Bros circus (1846 seats). 1927 converted into a cinema (of the "atmospheric theatre" variety) by John Eberson (2973 seats). Re-opened 7 April 1928. Restorations in the 1990s. Re-opened 1995. 2094 seats.
