Built 1928-1930 by Joseph Berlin as theatre and opera house with an additional cinema hall on the top floor with a roof that could be opened. Opened 13 Feb 1930. In the 1940s, home to the Palestine Folk Opera company. From the 1970s, theatre hall also used as a cinema hall (called "Cinema Studio"). Severely damaged by fire on 17 June 1986. Remains demolished in 1989 in favour of a car park.
