Royal Opera House (Dar al-Ubira as-Sultaniya Masqat), built 2007-2011 by Wimberly Allison Tong and Goo (WATG) on the orders of Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said. Opened Sep 2011 with Verdi's "Rigoletto" in a private performance. Officially opened to public 12 Oct 2011 with Puccini's "Turandot". Used for opera productions and classical concerts. 1100 seats.
