Haydn: Die Schöpfung Hob. XXI:2
Salzburger Festspiele matinée production. Rec. at Großes Festspielhaus Salzburg, 1965-08-29.
- Cast: Fritz Wunderlich (Uriel, Tenor Arias), Gundula Janowitz (Gabriel, Eva), Kim Borg (Raphael), Hermann Prey (Adam), Singverein der Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde Wien, Wiener Philharmoniker, cond. Herbert von Karajan
- "Kurier", 1965: "The Wiener Singverein flaunted its richness and precision, it was as careful in its tonal nuances as the orchestra was. Gundula Janowitz (as Gabriel and Eva) was a vocally ideal sopranist, just as ideally guided by Karajan. She only might sing a little more consonants, and should phrase the words more clearly. Fritz Wunderlich was the epitome of an Uriel, and Hermann Prey as Adam was Wunderlich's equal in every way."
