Concert and assembly hall, built 1832-1834 by Joseph Hansom and Edward Welch. Opened 7 Oct 1834. Home to the "Birmingham Triennial Music Festival" (held until 1912). 1926-1927 addition of an upper gallery. 1996-2007 major renovation (removing the 1926 upper gallery). Reopened 4 Oct 2007. 1086 seats.
