Built 1873-1876 by Watson Fothergill. Opened 26 Sep 1876. Named in honour of Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Consort Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha (1819-1861). Destroyed by fire on 22 April 1906. Replaced by a new Albert Hall, opened in 1910.
